Dev Packs
Add Python, Node.js, Java, Go or PostgreSQL to your Andronix distro with one command, using the distro's own packages.
Dev packs add a complete developer toolset to your distro with one command: the language, its package manager, and the build tools it usually needs. They use your distro's own packages, so updates come with the rest of the system.
The packs

Versions are your distro's own. For example, on Debian 13 python gives Python 3.13 and node gives Node.js 20; on Ubuntu 26.04 they're Python 3.14 and Node.js 22.
Add a pack
In the distro's terminal (Home > Your Linux > Terminal):
sudo andronix pack add pythonYou can add several packs at once. Andronix checks your free space first, installs the packages in one go, and then checks that the tools actually work. If the check fails, the pack is marked as failed and pack add tries again next time.
sudo doesn't work yet: use the root terminal for admin work.In Termux, name the distro first, for example andronix pack add debian python node.
See and remove packs

andronix pack remove debian node # remove a packRemoving a pack takes out only the packages it installed, and keeps any that another pack you still have needs.
PostgreSQL
Andronix can't run system services the usual way (there's no systemd), so the db pack includes a small helper to run the PostgreSQL server:
sudo andronix-postgres start # start the server
psql # connect as your user, to your own database
sudo andronix-postgres stop # stop itThe first start creates the database cluster, a database role and a database named after your user. The server only listens on the phone itself (127.0.0.1 and a local socket).
sudo andronix-postgres statusshows whether it's running.- Removing the
dbpack keeps your databases and says where they are. To delete them too, useandronix pack remove --purge debian db.
